Kustoff Announces $7 Million Transportation Grant for Lake County

Today, U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) announced a $7 million Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to Lake County, Tennessee. This funding will help construct approximately 5.5 miles of rail to connect the Port of Cates Landing and the adjoining Select Tennessee certified industrial site, to the TennKen short-line railroad.

"This funding is critical and will help repair, rebuild, and revitalize Lake County's rail system and the Port of Cates Landing. Thank you to Governor Bill Lee, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, and President Trump for your continued commitment to investing in rural communities like West Tennessee," said Rep. Kustoff.
